What makes Le Soleil d’Or unique is simple: you’re 100 metres from the beach. Just a few steps and you’re there. Surfing, land sailing, beach volleyball, shellfish gathering, sunrises and sunsets, it’s all literally on your doorstep.

Our beachfront campsite on the Atlantic coast stretches out in front of 12 kilometres of sandy beaches. For surf enthusiasts, this is the ideal campsite: Vendays-Montalivet is one of the most popular resorts on the Silver Coast. And for those who prefer calmer waters, Lac d’Hourtin is perfect for an afternoon of pedalo, catamaran or paddle boarding (about 40 min from the campsite).

On site, you’ll find a boules court and a children’s play area throughout the season. A campsite without a pool, in a simple and friendly setting, because when the ocean is 100 metres away, you simply don’t need one.

On the activity front, the ocean reigns supreme: swimming, surfing, land sailing — something for everyone, just minutes away. Families head to the Adventure Park, go-karts or Robin’s Forest for a day full of laughs. And for a more indulgent experience, the Médoc vineyards can be discovered along lovely scenic routes.

Camping Le Soleil d’Or is a 3-star campsite located in Vendays-Montalivet, in the Gironde, in the heart of the Médoc, just 100 metres from the beach. From our campsite, you can walk to 12 km of sandy beaches in 2 minutes for a surfing session, a swim or simply a stroll on the sand.

2. What types of accommodation can we book at the campsite?

Our campsite in Montalivet offers accommodation for every taste: spacious pitches from 100 to 200 m² for tents and motorhomes, some with private bathroom facilities for extra privacy, as well as a wide range of mobile homes (Standard, Comfort, Grand Comfort and Premium) for 4 to 6 people. For a unique experience, our lodge tents offer an original stay facing the ocean.

3. What activities are there in Vendays-Montalivet and around the campsite?

Vendays-Montalivet is a dream playground for nature and sports lovers: surfing and bodyboarding on Atlantic waves, land sailing, paddle boarding, beach volleyball, as well as 30 km of cycling paths and 40 km of hiking trails through the Médoc pines. Not to miss: the Montalivet market, the Adventure Park, an excursion to the Phare de Cordouan lighthouse, and a visit to Soulac-sur-Mer. Our guests agree unanimously: one week is never enough.
