Your campsite in the heart of Médoc

The Médoc peninsula is a synthesis of all the tourist sectors that can be found in Gironde: the coastline, the estuary, the lakes, the forest, the wine, the heritage and the gastronomy are all assets that nature deploys to attract you, hold you and encourage you to return to this region combining tradition and modernity. Throughout your stay, you can explore wide open spaces and the immense diversity of the landscape. Here nature is still very preserved.

Lovers of beautiful stones will discover the Romanesque buildings that history has left us. Throughout your walks in the Médoc, you can discover different monuments or go to different museums such as the archaeological museum of Soulac-sur-Mer. You can imagine how the Médoc organized its defense with the fortress of Blanquefort, the Tower of Honor in Lesparre or the Fort-Médoc in Cussac (listed as a UNESCO world heritage site) which constituted with the citadel of Blaye and the Fort Paté, the Vauban lock, which protected Bordeaux from a possible attack from the estuary.

Soulac-sur-Mer, our ancient village, like Lacanau, reached its peak with the fashion for sea bathing and became a seaside resort in 1849. You can visit its charming neo-colonial village and the history of its Basilica Our Lady of the End of the Earth.
